Where Next: Sun Valley, Idaho

This month, Where Next visits Sun Valley, Idaho with Sun Valley SIR’s, Coralea Graham.  A few weeks ago, the SeattlebyDesign team invited Corey to share her insights with us about this popular and enchanting destination.  Read on to learn a bit about the area and more still about Corey.

From Corey,

There’s truly no place like Sun Valley, Idaho. There have been numerous movies made about this town, musicians inspired by it, celebrities enticed to its streets, and a bounty of Olympians made in it. While much of the country might think Idaho is known only for potatoes, those who visit know better. The majesty of this year-round oasis is truly astonishing. Best-known as a ski resort town, the winters are what bring the people, but the summers are what makes them stay. All year you’ll find outdoor activities for beginners to advanced recreationists such as skiing, snowboarding, hiking, fly fishing, rock climbing, mountain biking, snowshoeing, fat biking, kayaking, and so much more. Not only is the year-round recreation a draw, but Sun Valley is also home to an art scene that rivals that of any metropolitan city, a hip restaurant scene with James Beard Award-winning chefs, world-class shopping and hotels, and all in a town that seems remote and far away. Yet we are just a quick direct flight from cities like Seattle, Salt Lake, San Francisco, LA, Chicago, and Denver. With all that Sun Valley has to offer, and well-connected to many mid and western states, who wouldn’t want to live here?

I first fell in love with Sun Valley in 1968, when my mother loaded our car and moved our family here. As a girl transplanted from the L.A. beach life, I was a bit overwhelmed at first, but quickly came to understand Sun Valley’s allure. Following in my mother’s footsteps, a real estate veteran herself, I got my license in 1979 and I’ve been devoted ever since. There’s nothing I love more than real estate. I’m actually a licensed agent in Idaho and California, mixing both past and present. While investing in both states myself, I learned nearly all facets of the business, not just the brokerage side. I strive to evolve and constantly better myself as an agent to better serve my clients. Whether helping clients find their dream home or dream getaway, I love wearing multiple hats.  On any given day, I am a negotiator, lawyer, psychologist, chauffeur, paper-pusher, and more.  I wouldn’t have it any other way.

Whether you’re looking for a new place to call home in this post-COVID world, where one’s home office is literally whatever they are, or just a place to get away from it all, Sun Valley could be the right place for you. Come for a visit and let me help you discover the adventure and feel of the true west, just as I did. It would be my pleasure to help make Sun Valley your new home.

Practically in our backyard, Sun Valley is a terrific place to visit.  It’s a short drive or a remarkably short flight away.  If you decide to visit, whether for your first time or a return, reach out to the SeattlebyDesign team and allow us to introduce you to Corey.  You’ll be glad you did!
